Tasting Note

Pale, bright pink with purplish reflections, it has a fine, persistent perlage; on the nose it is fragrant and floral, along with delicate fruity hints of redcurrants that return on the palate, creating an elegant, harmonious, mouth- filling sensation. The finish is clean, long and forthright.

Origin

From Guyot-trained vines in hillside vineyards with south-southwest exposures, on clayey soils with a substantial presence of active limestone.

Vinification and Maturation

Soft pressing to obtain a small amount of color extraction. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for 15 days. Prise de mousse for 10 days at 17°C Maturation on the yeasts for 30 days in pressurized tanks.

Vineyard

The Caseo Estate is situated in Oltrepò Pavese Lombardy, a territory of ancient and noble origins that hosts the winery since 1200. Surrounded by gentle hills covered by excellent vineyards, Caseo represents the perfect area to produce the Pinot Nero variety.The estate covers 120 hectares: 90 of vineyards and the remaining 30 hectares are wood, natural setting of the vineyards and hunting reserve. The wine cellar with its elegant yet essential architecture reflects the soul of the wines and who produce them: the complex finesse of the wine production, by capturing the personality of Pinot Nero, preserving the aromatic qualities of Moscato and bringing out the full potential of the native varietals.
